In 1987, the founder of our Association, Mr Ernest Mercier of Quebec City, published a comprehensive work containing approximately five hundred pages entitled 'Mercier Depuis des Siecles'. The book, written in french, traces the history of the Mercier name not only in New France, but from its origin in Europe. This work also contains the history of several contemporary Mercier families. This book can be purchased from the Association.

In 1997, Lucienne Mercier-Croteau of Bonnyville, Alberta, published a six hundred page work entitled 'Mercier: Hier et Aujourd'hui, 1647-1997' The author delves into the history of her family, which settled in Alberta.

In 1999, Pierre-Paul Mercier of Saint-Lambert, the current president of the Association, published a four hundred page work entilled 'Napoleon Mercier et Alphonsine Chartier, Ancetres et Descendants (1557-1998) This extensive work relates the detailed history of the author's grandfather since the early family settlement up to the current living descendants of this couple. |

In 2000, a group under the leadership of Jean-Marc Mercier of Laval published a history of the family of 'Vitaline Lejeune et de Joseph Mercier'. It is a 140 page work presenting the family of that couple, with emphasis on contemporary family members. |

Les Editions du Septentrion published in 1994 a history on Honoré Mercier, the Premier of Quebec, written by historian Gilles Galichan. This book of 200 pages can be obtained from the Association at a cost of 20.$ plus postage and handling.

In October 2002, Luc Mercier of Longueuil, a retired judge and prolific author, published a novel, Le Temple du Bonheur, which follows a previous work entitled Le Goût du Bonheur, released in 1997. Those two novels are based on childhood memories of the author since he was five years old and lived in the Beauce region. This last book, written in French, can be obtained from AMAN at a cost of 20$ plus postage and handling. |
