AMAN publishes a newsletter four times a year in French and in English entitled "Le Mercien", and sends it to members and sponsors of AMAN, the Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec (National Library and Archives of Quebec) and Library and Archives Canada. Each newsletter contains an editorial, a message from the president, member activities, invitations and various other types of information.

AMAN members and all other interested persons may contribute to Le Mercien by submitting articles, photographs, genealogical and historical information, tributes and anecdotes, as well as by promoting regional events and making announcements relating to Mercier families. AMAN members are requested to inform AMAN of any address change in order to avoid delays in delivery.
